Some random thoughts on articles that caught my attention in the last month. Note that I try to write notes on articles immediately after reading them, so there can be a little overlap in themes if an article grabs my attention early in the month and is similar to an article that I like later in the month.
you got me there on the wife distraction thing. I don't know about solutions - I say read your priority list every morning, if the wife is not on the No.1 spot, change it to No.1, then act / react accordingly.
Great point on $BUR truly makes me think that I’m dancing Waltz on the edge of the universe when investing in this company , so let’s see if this story comes with a happy or sad ending 🤔
Rentech external money versus internal money funds are two completely different beasts. The former has much lower turnover, and loads on commonly known factors (don't believe me? just regress their returns against the usual stuff), while the latter can be thought of as much higher frequency statistical arbitrage, although no one outside of the firm could say for sure, but you get a rough sense by examining the backgrounds of the people they hire. Extremely technical, but actually quite weak along the "traditional" investing angle, hence the performance difference.

Just noticed you shared my Kura write-up here, thanks Andrew :)
