Andrew, longtime reader here, in the same narrow value investor / fantasy nerd venn diagram as you. you and I like all the same fantasy series and I think I can nearly promise that you will love Malazan. Main ten are incredible, first one is confusing at first. If you don't like it after book 2 or 3, then you should stop but I doubt you will want to. Incredibly rich.
