Mine is just 6 months now and I have to say: time flies. Everybody was telling me and is telling u now but when we experienced it ourselves we finally know it is true! Time flies!
Congratulations Andrew , that’s very awesome, scary , and exciting!
I been is some what similar (yet not really) situations twice , doing my real work - running Substack - and being a family man...
I haven’t read other replies but I wanted to share two that I believe will go a long way for you:
1) help your significant other as much as possible and for the first year or so don’t take anything against her (pregnancy and first child makes mommies a bit different then before and it takes time obviously)
But even more important is advice number 2)
Talk... talk and ... talk to your significant other about everything (family related) and listen to her
I have had good share of my arguments with my SO and also good share of things that WERE NOT said but thought about and the best thing is always talk about everything and try to come up with solutions that you both agree on
I don’t know if you these or not but I know it’s been helpful to me as the advice (number two) was passed from my grandma and my father
Congrats and enjoy! My advice- allow more than two years between the first and the second or they will continually wake each other up and neither you nor your wife will ever get any sleep. Spoken from experience. 👶👶👶👶
Congratulations Andrew. Good health and happiness to you and your family and enjoy time with your daughter. Nobody does a better job with individual securities and you have long been a credit to the investment community.
Congrats. Advice: *take more family time*!
